GONGQINGCHENG, May 27 (JXICC) -- As a representative of new quality productive forces, the low-altitude economy has become an important direction to foster new drivers.

The low-altitude economy has diverse applications in various fields, such as air tours, pilot license training, aerial photography and survey, power line patrol, UAV performance, and UAV short-distance transport.

Gongqingcheng, a vibrant young city, has been actively promoting the development of the low-altitude economy. It has established the first low-altitude economic industrial park in Jiangxi with high standards, and completed Jiangxi’s first market-oriented, A1-class runway general airport around Poyang Lake. These initiatives aim to accelerate the formation of industrial cluster effects and innovative ecosystems for the low-altitude economy.

“The low-altitude economy undoubtedly plays a significant role in promoting the economic development of Jiangxi”, remarked Feng Lei, a flight cadet from Jiujiang.

In recent years, with the gradual opening of low-altitude airspace, the issuance of a series of beneficial policies for general aviation, and the continuous improvement of infrastructure construction for general aviation, the general aviation industry has developed well, and private flights have gradually become more visible to the public.

Upon learning that the Gongqingcheng General Airport had launched the flight license training program in 2023, Feng Lei promptly enrolled and became one of the first trainees in the local area.

“Jiangxi is currently actively constructing the general aviation aerodrome. In the future, when the goal of county-to-county air connectivity is achieved, airplane will not just be a tool for entertainment but will become a means for transportation. This will allow people to travel point-to-point using air traffic, avoiding the need to drive and getting stuck in traffic jams when returning home.” Lu Lingyue, chairman of Jiangxi Aero Future General Aviation Co., Ltd. is confident and optimistic about the future development of Jiangxi's low-altitude economy.

We anticipate that the low-altitude economy will soon become a bright name card for Jiangxi, injecting further impetus into its development.
