Shangrao-made Caviar Successfully Exported to Dubai

Recently, over 300 kilograms of high-quality caviar, valued at approximately 700,000 yuan, were loaded onto a truck and shipped to Dubai, the United Arab Emirates. These caviar were produced at a sturgeon farming base in Shanglu Town, Guangxin District, Shangrao City. This marks the first time caviar from Shangrao has been exported to a participating country in the Belt and Road Initiative.

Caviar specifically refers to the salted and processed eggs of sturgeon fish.according to the definition by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations. Shanglu Town in Shangrao is located downstream of the Da'ao Reservoir, boasting an excellent ecological environment with abundant andclear water, making it ideal for sturgeon farming.
To expand and strengthen the sturgeon industry, the local area has been methodically increasing the farming scale while also introducing deepprocessing projects such as fish fillet and caviar production, which hasobtained multiple international certifications. lts caviar and sturgeon productsare highly popular in major cities like Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, andShenzhen.

Furthermore, caviar products have strict requirements for timely transportationand cold-chain conditions. To ensure that Shangrao caviar can be sold abroad successfully and allow people around the world to enjoy the deliciousness of 'Made in Jiangxi', the farming base has established a comprehensive quality control system that spans from raw materials to finished products. The local authorities have also implemented a 'report-and-inspect-immediately' greenchannel to facilitate the process.

The successful export of caviar has enriched the export portfolio of high-endfood products in Jiangxi Province and accelerated the transformation of theaquaculture industry from “agriculture-to-food” towards high-value-added development.
