Since ancient times, Jiangxi has been celebrated as the “Cradle of Traditional Chinese Operas” and “A Key Birthplace of Traditional Chinese Operas”. To date, 17 distinct traditional operas from Jiangxi have been included in the representative list of State-level intangible cultural heritage items. March 27th marks World Theatre Day.
