Facing agricultural challenges caused by arid conditions in North Africa, a Chinese-African youth startup team — jointly formed by faculty members and students from Jiangxi Modern Polytechnic College together with Moroccan international students — has developed an innovative intelligent irrigation solution called "Solar-Water Smart Farming." Integrating solar-powered energy-saving technology, AI-driven precision irrigation, and adaptability to local communication networks, the system is designed to effectively address irrigation challenges faced by smallholder farmers overseas. Through field research in tea plantations in Yanshan County and insights drawn from local modern agricultural practices, the team continues to refine its innovation and explore practical ways to support cost reduction, productivity growth, and greener agricultural development overseas.
