On June 1, former aide to former Indian prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, renowned Indian scholar and writer Sudheendra Kulkarni visited Jiangxi, touring Jiangxi University of Chinese Medicine and CR Jiangzhong Medicine Valley, a modern traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) production base, to gain firsthand insight into the industrialization of TCM.
As a long-time observer of China's poverty alleviation efforts and social development, Kulkarni has written extensively for major Indian media outlets about China's poverty alleviation efforts. During his visit to Jiangxi, he decided to incorporate case studies of the province's TCM industry into his upcoming book, presenting vivid, real-world examples of China's development to a global audience.
