If a representative inheritor of intangible cultural heritage could take a different form, it might look something like Li Hua. She is less a guardian of tradition in the conventional sense, and more someone who keeps asking questions—between the old and the new. To her, intangible cultural heritage is a river that flows from the past into the future. She does not seek to imitate—she wants to find herself through ceramics, and tread a path no one has ever trodden before.
