On October 14, coinciding with the 475th anniversary of Tang Xianzu's birth, the Seventh Tang Xianzu International Theatre Exchange Month kicked off in Fuzhou, Jiangxi Province, and will run until November. This year's Exchange Month boasts a host of highlights: the University of Birmingham will stage the Chinese premiere of the English version of The Peony Pavilion; students from the University of Leeds and the University of International Business and Economics (UIBE) will jointly perform Dreaming Under the Bough. In addition, a series of performances of Chinese and foreign classic plays as well as academic exchange activities will be held simultaneously, attracting theater lovers around the world to enjoy classic Chinese and foreign dramas together.
